Summary:
This article touches on the political side of the fracking argument by talking about what governor Cuomo is deciding about what to do in the state of New York. However, the problem for Cuomo is that the facts aren't all straight for him, so it is difficult for him to make a decision about whether fracking will be beneficial or hurtful. He is getting information from both sides of the argument and doesn't know who to believe in this situation.
I think he needs to make a decision as soon as possible to put the debate to end at least in New York State. I think it's a pretty basic decision. He can take the profits and not care about the needs of the household, or he can give up a little money and help out the people who can't exactly help themselves.

Although I am not writing about fracking in my blog, I have to say this was definitely a good choice in terms of a topic to blog about. Fracking is something that I can see becoming more and more of a major point of debate among citizens and politicians. As states go on to decide wether to allow it or not, I feel that it's great that many people try to get their input on the topic out there since there isn't much scientific data about the consequences of fracking.
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely a good article to include in your blog because of the fact that it is relevant to us New Yorkers. I would try to look deeper into this decision that governor Cuomo has to make. Try to put yourself in his shoes by trying to figure out what decision you would make. Would you allow fracking in NY or not?
From what I can tell, Jon Campbell is a biology professor so I would think he is credible in anything scientific like fracking.
